MCA has always criticised DAP for working with PAS. Before the 2008 elections, MCA tried to whip up fear among the Chinese that DAP's co-operation with PAS meant support for an Islamic state. After the elections, MCA's Ong Ka Chun demanded that DAP apologise to the Chinese for misleading them and forming state governments with PAS.

Now that news has broken out that Umno has talked to PAS about sharing power, why is MCA so quiet? DAP is the devil for cooperating with PAS, but not Umno?

Or is it that MCA dare not speak up against their Umno masters?

An Evening with an Accomplice is another bomb shell, from Raja Petra Kamaruddin a.k.a RPK. This is definitely an attempt to fix Najib Razak with something that will deny the DPM from becoming the PM. RPK's dream, it's not a secret, is to make Anwar Ibrahim PM.
He's already facing one sedition and three defamation charges in his effort to realize this dream, including for a Statutory Declaration he made against Najib's wife. This time, he said, it's all or nothing:
"This time I am going for broke. This time I am prepared to go to jail for a long, long time just to make sure that Najib is not going to become Prime Minister of Malaysia in June 2010. Yes, I know I am headed for a fall, but I am going to bring Najib down with me. We shall both hit the dirt and become history, side-by-side. And how will that happen?
Well, this time I video-recorded a ‘confession’ session. And the video recording is now in a safe place, ready to surface during my trial when they charge me for this newest ‘crime’, whatever that crime is going to be. The gist is as follows. When Saiful went to meet Najib, he brought a friend along. And this friend has confessed to the entire thing in a video recording, which I now have in my possession. So bring it on. Give me all you’ve got. Charge me and let us see what happens in court."
Read the "confession" or "interview" from No Holds Barred from RPK. Is it strong enough evidence to convince the Court or anyone that "Najib met Saiful to discuss how to fix Anwar on a sodomy allegation"? Is it evidence in the first place? I don't know. I'm not a lawyer.

Perak Pakatan Rakyat 100 days in office celebration

2008 Jun 29 was the Perak Pakatan Rakyat 100 day in office celebration which was held in Stadium Perak. Among the VVIPs attended are Perak Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Ir Mohd Nizar Jamaluddin, Senior Exco Member Datuk Ngeh Koo Ham, YB Dr Tan Seng Giaw who is DAP Vice President and Kelantan Menteri Besar Tok Guru Datuk Seri Nik Aziz. The highlight for this event was supposed to be the speech by Pakatan Rakyat Leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim but unfortunately he is unable to attend due to his personal safety. About 20,00 people attended this event.

Anwar takes up refuge offer from Turkish embassy

Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim sought refuge at the Turkish Embassy at the invitation of its Ambassador to Malaysia Barlas Ozener.
The PKR de factor leader wrote on his blog at anwaribrahimblog.com that he had gone to the embassy because he feared for his personal safety.
“I was transported to the embassy earlier this morning (Sunday). I thank all those who offered to assist me in this time of need and am grateful to the Turkish ambassador for extending an invitation to me to seek refuge within the embassy,” he said.
“I would like to assure my family, friends and supporters in Malaysia that I am safe and remain committed as ever before in continuing the struggle for a free and just Malaysia.”
According to Kelantan Menteri Besar, Datuk Seri Nik Aziz that the allegation maybe political ploy to trap Anwar.

Meanwhile, Deputy Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Razak denies his involvement in Anwar sodomy allegation.

At the same time, Anwar has filed a suit against his former aide for allegedly lodging a malicious and false report against him and defaming him

A police report has been lodged against PKR de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim for allegedly sodomosing one of his aides - the second time that such an accusation had been made in over 10 years.
The report was lodged by the 23-year-old victim at the Jalan Travers police station at 6pm.
KL police chief DCP Muhammad Sabtu Osman has confirmed that the report had been made.
It is learnt that Anwar met with a number of party leaders at an emergency meeting late tonight.
At 11.15pm, PKR sent out an SMS message stating that the police had detained Anwar’s special aide Saiful Bahari this afternoon and forced him to lodge a police report about being sodomised by his boss.
It added that the police are expected to arrest Anwar soon.

Look's like there is a new claims on Altantuya murder case that Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, the wife of the current Deputy PM was accused to be present at the murder scene of the Mongolian model, Altantuya Sharibu.

The statutory declaration was subscribed and solemnly declared by Raja Petra Kamarudin on 18 June 2008.
Meanwhile, veteran DAP politician and lawyer Karpal Singh wants attorney-general Abdul Gani Patail to immediately initiate an investigation into the fresh explosive allegations over the Altantuya Shaaribuu murder.

I hope there will be no cover up on this high profile murder case.

No motion of no-confidence today in Parliament

Abdullah is save as of now. No motion of no-confidence against the PM has been tabled in Parliament today. One of the reason is because both the 2 SAPP MPs were absent from today's parliament session. The 2 are Datuk Chua Soon Bui (Tawau) and Datuk Eric Enchin Majimbun (Sepanggar).
At the same time, Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Minister Shahrir Abdul Samad has tabled a motion in Parliament seeking support for the government's measures over food, oil and commodities price increases, including the reduction of oil subsidies.

According to Lim Kit Siang, DAP party advisor, even though there is no motion was submitted to speaker prior to parliament session today, the government's motion can be turned into a no-confidence motion against the prime minister if there are enough numbers in Parliament to defeat it.

Most of the Pakatan Rakyat supporters are waiting eagerly for this motion to be table but will there be any turnaround from Datuk Yong's SAPP?

Yesterday, PKR Youth a.ka. Angkatan Muda Keadilan (AMK) Negeri Perak held a closed door convention for it's youth member from Perak States. It was held a PTTC building in Jelapang, Ipoh.

Among the VIPs attended this convention are PKR advisor Dato' Seri Anwar Ibrahim, PKR Vice-President Mustaffa Kamil Ayub, PKR Youth Chief Shamsul Iskandar, PKR Youth Deputy Chief Fariz Musa, PKR Perak Chairman Haji Ismail Yusof and PKR Perak Youth Chief Annuar Zakaria.

Malaysia fuel price - Among the cheapest in Asia

The new price of petrol is RM2.70 per litre beginning midnight tonight, it was announced a moment ago by Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Minister Datuk Shahrir Samad. Diesel will go up by RM1 per litre while the price for ULG 92 per litre went up by 74 sen. The 78 sen hike or 40 per cent increase for the ULG 97 petrol is still below the antiticpated RM4 per litre price projected earlier and among the cheapest in Asia.
Under the scheme, vehicles below 2,000cc will receive a RM625 rebate annually to compensate for 800 litres of fuel used under the new price.
Motorcycles will be given a rebate of RM120. The money will be paid through postal orders.

Among the reasons given by our government is that the oil price is Malaysia is among the cheapest in this region if compare to Singapore and Thailand.
The question is those 2 countries are not oil producing countries.

Malaysia is among the oil producing countries but our price is the highest among the other oil producing countries. See below.

So, is this reason (cheapest in Asia) is justified for the increase? how about the billion of profit made by Petronas? why not use those money to subsidise our petrol?

Fuel price to go up?

Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Minister Datuk Shahrir Samad says that the full new subsidy system will be implemented on August 2008.
The government is currently studying two methods of delivering subsidies - based on cash income and based on quota. What has been repeated many times in the past is that those who can afford to pay market rates should pay for them so I think we can assume that subsidies based on cash income is a go, but the question here is whether those who qualify for subsidies will have a quota set on how much subsidies they can enjoy.
There will also be no controlled prices for fuel in August 2008 onwards. This means that the market price will be determined by the fuel companies. This could also lead to different stations offering different prices for fuel.
According to calculations using a crude oil price of USD130 a barrel, the market price for a liter of RON97 petrol would be RM3.12, and this have not include a potential fuel tax.

Perhaps it's another Barang Naik by BN goverment.

AT LAST! This is definitely the words that come out from most of the residents of Bandar Mahkota Cheras(BMC). Finally there's some good news for Bandar Mahkota Cheras residents because the federal government has ordered that the toll-free alternate road be kept open. Ministry of Work announce the decision this afternoon. Grand Saga, the Cheras-Kajang highway concessionaire also was directed to repair the road damaged by the barrier.

why only now the BN government decided to do something good for the rakyat? The residents have been suffer since 2005.

FRU brutality at Bandar Mahkota Cheras

The Grand Saga had put another new barricade at Bandar Mahkota Cheras to prevent the residents from using a toll free road. This time the concrete barricade is much larger and heavier to prevent the peoples from dismantle it.

There was this innocent teenager, Chang, 21 who claimed to passby the area to witness the situation there was beaten up by the FRU. The FRU claimed that this teenager is trying to hit the FRU on his car which the boy denied it. 2 of his younger sisters and 2 of his friends who was in the car also was arrested by the police.

The police or FRU was supposed to be there to keep peace but this was what happened.

Tahan Orang Lalu or blocking people access is the most suitable terms to describe the concrete barricade built by Cheras-Kajang Highway concessionaire, Grand Saga Sdn Bhd.

See the above map and you will understand the feeling of the residents who is staying in Bandar Mahkota, Cheras. The current route towards KL is 3 times longer than the blocked access road. worst still they have the pay the toll charge. Imagine when you stay in Bandar Mahkota Cheras and you need to travel to KL everyday. This is a burden to the peoples.

This is what prompt the residents of Bandar Mahkota Cheras and Bandar Sg Long come out to protest against the closure of a road that leads to both housing areas.
The residents said the action of the Cheras-Kajang Highway concessionaire, Grand Saga, to place concrete barriers at the road greatly inconvenienced them.

How come there is so many problem caused by the current BN government? Government ask the people to change lifestyle but most of the peoples agree to change the current government.

RPK agreed to post bail today

Good news! Raja Petra Kamaruddin agreed to post bail today after meeting his wife, Marina Lee Abdullah at the Sungai Buloh prison this morning. His wife will pay the RM5,000 bail and RPK could be freed today. He has been on hunger strike since he was arrested 2 days ago. Today, finally he started to take some food and drink water.

Raja Petra Kamaruddin, Malaysia Today news portal webmaster was today charged with sedition at the Petaling Jaya Sessions Court over an article which he wrote in his website.
He was offered bail of RM5,000 but he refused to pay and was sent to Sungai Buloh prison, until the trial fixed for Oct 6-10.
If found guilty, Raja Petra can be jailed a maximum of 3 years and/or face a fine of up to RM5,000.

Raja Petra's website issued a call for donation of RM1 per person to his legal aid fund. At 6.45pm, RM24,500 had been credited to his CIMB bank account, and the fund had collected an additional US$3,283.61 through a Paypal account. It has been closed since.

Malaysia Today was blamed as one of the contributor to the political tsunami on 8th March which the ruling government BN lost 5 states and lost 2/3 majority in parliament.

Is this the beginning of crackdown on bloggers who wrote against the government?

Raja Petra Kamaruddin to be charged in court today

The man behind the famous news portal Malaysia Today, Raja Petra Kamaruddin, is expected to be charged with sedition at the magistrates’ court in the Kuala Lumpur Court Complex in Jalan Duta today. He is expected to appear in court at 9.30am.
Raja Petra was investigated under section 4 (1) of the Sedition Act 1948 for the article “Let’s send the Altantuya murderers to hell.”
The article was posted on his website on April 25 and implicated Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and his wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor.

RPK himself is in the dark of which court the case would be mentioned. Many readers and supporters are expected to wait near the entrance to the court's complex today.

Last Friday, Raja Petra was summoned by the police regarding the article in his blog which is regard to the murder case of the Mongolian lady, Altantuya Shariibu.

Above is the picture of UMNO Youth leader, Datuk Hishamuddin who is also Education Minister wielding a keris during one of the UMNO general assembly in 2006. There was uneasiness among non-Malays when some speakers made racially slanted remarks about using the keris. This was among the causes of Barisan's poor performance in the March 8 general election polls.

On Saturday, he apologize over the keris issue. We hope the apology is sincere from him.

We must not forget that we are living is a multicultural, multi racial country. Over championing certain race will cause uneasiness among the other race. Let this be a lesson to all the leaders out there.
